Living For Today
This is one of my all time favorite songs. Maybe you are one of those people who is sitting in your room wondering about this thing called life that has you going crazy. The truth of the matter is we have all been there at some point and we can choose to stay wondering about the meaning of it all but we might not get all the answers or the answers you were looking for. Something I have learned is to stop worrying about the past and trust that your future is intact. What good does dwelling on things do that you cannot go back and change. The past is the past you cannot change what has happened, so let it rest and choose to live your life one way and that is for today.
The worrying about what lies ahead will only cause more problems. Give it to God and focus on the here and now. Live in the moment, if you focus so much on what you cannot change so much will slip away from you. Instead of dwelling on negative events count the blessings in your life and remember from past experiences how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye and appreciate ever moment you have and the people you have in your life because in an instant that can all change. Set your mind on the hear and now for that is the healthiest way to live instead of having it set on the “back then.” Respect each day and live it as if there is no tomorrow. No matter how crazy you feel your life is and how much it makes your head spin take each day one day at a time but focus on living it for TODAY. So choose to live your life one way and that is living for today. Take this advice from someone who spent far too many days dwelling on the past only to watch myself waste years of my life when I could of been “Living for Today.”
